Indian Army Recruitment Rally 2025-26: ARO Calicut Notification for Agniveer Selection

The Army Recruiting Office (ARO) Calicut has announced the Indian Army Recruitment Rally Notification for Agniveer General Duty (GD), Agniveer Technical, Agniveer Clerk/Store Keeper Technical, and Agniveer Tradesmen under the Agnipath Scheme for the 2025-26 recruiting year. This rally is open to unmarried male candidates from the districts of Kasaragod, Kannur, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Malappuram, Palakkad, Thrissur, and the UTs of Mahe & Lakshadweep.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualifications & Age Limit

  • Agniveer (General Duty)
    • Must have passed Class 10th/Matric with at least 45% aggregate marks and 33% in each subject.
    • Candidates with a valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) Driving License will be given preference for driver positions.
    • Age: 17½ – 21 years
  • Agniveer (Technical)
    • Must have passed 10+2 (Science) with Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and English, with 50% aggregate marks and 40% in each subject.
    • Candidates who have 10+2 in Science with ITI (minimum 1-year course) or a Diploma in Engineering are also eligible.
    • Age: 17½ – 21 years
  • Agniveer (Clerk/Store Keeper Technical)
    • Must have passed 10+2 in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 60% aggregate marks and 50% in each subject.
    • Must score 50% in English and Maths/Accounts/Book Keeping in Class 12.
    • Age: 17½ – 21 years
  • Agniveer Tradesmen (10th Pass)
    • Simple 10th pass, no aggregate percentage required, but must score 33% in five basic subjects.
    • Age: 17½ – 21 years
  • Agniveer Tradesmen (8th Pass)
    • Simple 8th pass, no aggregate percentage required, but must score 33% in five basic subjects.
    • Age: 17½ – 21 years
  • Date of Birth Eligibility: Candidates must be born between 01 Oct 2004 to 01 April 2008 (both days inclusive).

2. Physical Standards

  • Minimum Height:
    • 166 cm (General Duty & Tradesmen)
    • 165 cm (Technical)
    • 162 cm (Clerk/Store Keeper)
  • Chest Requirement: 77 cm (with a 5 cm expansion) for all categories.
  • Weight: As per Army medical standards (proportionate to height and age).
  • Relaxation in Physical Standards:
    • Sportsmen (National/State/University level) get a 2 cm height, 3 cm chest, and 5 kg weight relaxation.
    • Special height, chest, and weight relaxations apply for candidates from tribal areas, Ladakh, Andaman & Nicobar, Lakshadweep, and Gorkhas.

3. Selection Process

The recruitment process is conducted in two phases:

Phase I – Online Common Entrance Examination (CEE)

  • Candidates must report to the exam center with a color printout of the admit card.
  • The test will be conducted online in 13 languages (including English, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, etc.).
  • The test will have objective multiple-choice questions (MCQs), with 50 or 100 questions depending on the category.
  • Marking pattern:
    • Full marks for correct answers
    • No marks deducted for unattempted questions
    • All attempted questions will be evaluated
  • Typing Test for Clerk/Store Keeper Technical:
    • Candidates must type at least 30 words per minute in English.
    • Only those who qualify for the typing test will proceed to Phase II.

Phase II – Recruitment Rally (Physical & Medical Tests)

  • Candidates who qualify for Phase I will be issued a separate admit card for the recruitment rally.
  • Physical Fitness Test (PFT) includes:
    • 1.6 km run: Candidates are divided into groups based on time taken.
    • Pull-ups, 9 ft ditch crossing, and zig-zag balance test.
    • Marks will be assigned based on performance.
  • Medical Examination:
    • Conducted at the rally site by Army Medical Officers.
    • Candidates deemed unfit can request a specialist review at a Military Hospital.
    • Final medical clearance is required for recruitment.

4. Pay & Benefits

  • Monthly Salary (In-Hand & Contribution to Corpus Fund):
    • 1st Year: ₹21,000 in hand, ₹30,000 package
    • 2nd Year: ₹23,100 in hand, ₹33,000 package
    • 3rd Year: ₹25,550 in hand, ₹36,500 package
    • 4th Year: ₹28,000 in hand, ₹40,000 package
  • Total Corpus Fund after 4 Years: ₹10.04 lakh (excluding interest).
  • No pension or gratuity after 4 years, but candidates may apply for permanent enrolment (25% will be retained based on merit and vacancies).
  • Insurance Coverage: ₹48 lakh non-contributory life insurance during service.

5. Documents Required for Rally

Candidates must carry original & 2 attested copies of the following:

  • Admit Card (printed on good quality paper)
  • 20 recent passport-size photos (white background, clean-shaven for non-Sikhs)
  • Educational certificates (Matriculation/Intermediate, ITI/Diploma if applicable)
  • Domicile/Nativity Certificate
  • Caste & Religion Certificate
  • Character Certificate (Police & School)
  • Unmarried Certificate (issued within the last 6 months)
