The Spices Board of India, under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India, has announced a recruitment notification for the Engagement of Executives (Development) on a contract basis. About the Opportunity

The Spices Board is inviting applications from eligible candidates to be deployed at its head office in Kochi and various outstation offices across India. The engagement will be initially for one year, with the possibility of an extension based on performance and organizational requirements.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must hold one of the following degrees from a regular course:

  • B.Sc. in Agriculture / Horticulture / Forestry
  • M.Sc. in Botany (General/Specialization)

Age Limit

  • Candidates should be below 40 years of age as of the last date of application submission.

Work Experience

  • Minimum two years of experience in the respective field of study or in agriculture/horticulture-related fields.

Remuneration & Contract Terms

  • First-year salary: ₹30,000/- per month
  • Second-year salary (if extended): ₹35,000/- per month
  • Contract Duration: Initially one year, extendable by one more year based on performance.
  • The contract does not entitle candidates to allowances, accommodation, or medical reimbursement.
  • Work Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM, with the possibility of working on Saturdays and after office hours as needed.
  • Leave Policy: 12 days of leave per year (pro-rata basis).

Selection Process

  • Shortlisting of applications based on eligibility criteria.
  • Written Test and/or Interview at the respective Spices Board office location.
  • Final selection and panel formation, with a validity of two years.
