Centre for One Health-Kerala (COH-K) Invites Applications for Key Positions

The Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Kerala, in collaboration with the World Bank, is implementing the One Health Programme across four districts—Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, and Idukki. As part of this initiative, the Centre for One Health-Kerala (COH-K) is inviting applications for two contractual positions:

  1. State Programme Lead (SPL)
  2. Community-Based Surveillance (CBS) Programme Coordinator

1. Position: State Programme Lead (SPL)

  • Mode of Appointment: Contract Basis
  • Vacancy: 01
  • Educational Qualification:
    • MBBS with MD in Community Medicine/MPH OR
    • BAMS/BHMS/BUMS/BSMS/BNYS with MPH
    • Proficiency in computers and the local language is essential.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in the public health sector.
  • Consolidated Pay: ₹1,25,000 per month
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Oversee daily administration of the One Health Centre.
    • Coordinate with health departments and agencies like KILA, KMSCL, and SHSRC-K.
    • Develop IT policies, finance management strategies, and program guidelines.
    • Recruit, train, and manage staff.
    • Ensure smooth execution of the One Health Programme.

2. Position: Community-Based Surveillance (CBS) Programme Coordinator

  • Mode of Appointment: Contract Basis
  • Vacancy: 01
  • Educational Qualification:
    • Graduate in Health/Epidemiology/Population Studies OR
    • Postgraduate in Social Work/Public Health/Epidemiology/Population Studies
    • Proficiency in computers and the local language is essential.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in the public health sector.
  • Consolidated Pay: ₹60,000 per month
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Engage with communities to facilitate disease surveillance.
    • Monitor and report public health concerns.
    • Collaborate with health authorities to prevent outbreaks.
    • Organize meetings with key stakeholders.
    • Assist in intersectoral coordination and infection surveillance programs.

  • Mode of Selection:
    • Shortlisting based on qualifications and experience
    • Interview (additional selection tests may be conducted if required)

General Guidelines

  • Applicants must be Indian citizens.
  • The contract period is one year, extendable based on performance.
  • Candidates must ensure all necessary documents are uploaded in the correct format (JPEG/PDF).
  • No TA/DA will be provided for selection rounds.
  • Selected candidates must be willing to work anywhere in Kerala.
