The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) has announced the recruitment of Divisional Accountants in the Kerala General Service. Applications are invited online through the One Time Registration system on the official KPSC website.

  • Name of Post: Divisional Accountant
  • Scale of Pay: ₹50,200 – ₹1,05,300
  • Vacancies:
    • Category No. 723/2024: By transfer from Junior Superintendents of Public Works, Irrigation, and Harbour Engineering Departments (3 vacancies).
    • Category No. 724/2024: Direct recruitment (1 vacancy).
    • Category No. 725/2024: By transfer from U.D. Clerks/Assistants and above in various departments (1 vacancy).

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Age Limit (Direct Recruitment):
    • 18–36 years (candidates born between 02.01.1988 and 01.01.2006).
    • Age relaxations apply for SC/ST and OBC candidates.
  2. Educational Qualifications:
    • Category No. 723/2024: Passed Account Test (Higher) and P.W.D. Test or equivalent.
    • Category No. 724/2024: University degree with at least second class (degree requirement is relaxed for SC/ST candidates).
    • Category No. 725/2024: Passed Account Test (Higher) and a minimum of 5 years of service, with one year in U.D. Clerk/Assistant or higher roles.

Selection Process

The recruitment will involve a competitive examination conducted in two stages:

  1. Preliminary OMR Test.
  2. Final Descriptive Test.

Subjects for Examination

  1. General Knowledge, Precis Writing, and General English
    • Maximum Marks: 150
    • Pass Marks: 60 (40%).
  2. Elementary Book Keeping
    • Maximum Marks: 150
    • Pass Marks: 60 (40%).
  3. Arithmetic and Mensuration
    • Maximum Marks: 200
    • Pass Marks: 100 (50%).

Total Marks: 500 (Minimum passing score: 220).

Training and Probation
