Applications are invited from qualified Indian Citizens belonging to differently abled categories for appointment to the following post in the High Court of Kerala. Backlog vacancies for differently abled persons reported for the period from 07-02-1996 to 31-12-2017. The ranked list prepared as per this notification shall remain in force until candidates are advised and appointed against the vacancies notified.)
Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (Special Recruitment from among differently abled candidates belonging to the following categories found suitable for the post as per G.O(P) No. 19/2020/SJD dated 25.08.2020)
i) Moderate Visual Impairment (40-60%)
ii) Deaf and Hard of Hearing
iii) Locomotor disability 40% – 60% (moderate disability)
iv) Multiple Disability including the above identified combinations
v) Mental Illness & Intellectual Disability (Mental Illness 40-70% (moderate). IDD-IQ: 55-69(VSMS) (50%))
Note: Applications of candidates other than those belonging to the above said categories will be summarily rejected.
Age Limit:
1) For Deaf and hard of hearing / Visual impairment:- Candidates born between 02/01/1973 and 01/01/2005 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply.
ii) For other disabilities Candidates born between 02/01/1977 and 01/01/2005 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply. The maximum upper age limit, with all eligible relaxations combined, shall in no case exceed 50 years.
iii) the upper age limit shall be raised by five years in the case of a person belonging to a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe and by three years in the case of a person belonging to the Other Backward Classes.
(iv) A candidate who is an Ex-serviceman or Ex-general Reserve Engineer Force person or a disembodied Territorial Army person, in reckoning the age for his eligibility for appointment can exclude the period of his service in the defence forces or in the General Reserve Engineer Force or in the Territorial Army, as the case may be, and the period of unemployment on discharge up to a maximum of five years shall be excluded in reckoning the age for his eligibility for appointment.
(v) Age relaxation upto 5 years will be granted to widows subject to the condition that in no case upper age limit shall exceed 50 years.
Qualification:
i) Should have passed Standard V and should not have passed SSLC or equivalent.
ii) Good physique
Mode of Selection:
i) Selection will be on the basis of Written Test and Interview OR Interview having regard to the number of applicants.
If written test is conducted, it will be of Objective Type with 75 minutes duration to be answered in OMR Answer Sheet will have 2 topics (Total 100 marks) as follows: (a) General Knowledge & Current affairs 80 marks, b)Basic Mathematics- 20 marks. Each question will carry 1 mark. For every incorrect answer, 1/4 mark will be deducted. The medium of the test will be Malayalam.
ii) Interview: The interview is for 10 marks. The minimum marks for being included in the ranked list will be 35% in the interview.
